International Vigil 4 Elephants January 4, 2020
The vigil was a success, almost 40 supporters in Portland and 43 groups from around the world spoke out about the tragic lives and deaths of the more than 37 elephants who died in captivitiy in 2019. See all the photos and videos on Facebook. #vigil4elephants
Join with FOZE and 36 other groups from around the world to commemorate the deaths of all the elephants who died in captivity in 2019. This is our second annual candlelight vigil taking place on January 4, the second to last day of Zoo Lights at the Oregon Zoo. Please bring a candle and help us read the biographies of the 39 elephants who died this year. This is a peaceful vigil to honor the dead and to share the plight of captive elephants with the public.
