Rama, Packy’s son died on March 30. He was euthanized at the age of 31, about half his life span in the wild. In honor of Rama and to help prevent the same tragic ending for Packy, please join us on April 25 to rally for Packy and all the elephants who remain confined at the Oregon Zoo.

Free the Oregon Zoo Elephants and In Defense of Animals (IDA) are sponsoring a “Rally to Free Packy!” to coincide with the ‘Elephantastic’ event of the zoo when they are set to show the new elephant exhibit to the public. We are rallying to urge the Oregon Zoo officials to release him to sanctuary and to stop the failed breeding program at the Oregon Zoo.
